journey, Adult Classes for Personal Growth
What will you do this fall that will have an eternal impact on your life? What new thing will you try that could have a life-changing effect on your future? May I suggest that you find a class and commit to be a part of the journey!
“What is the journey?”, you may ask. It is your journey, your walk with the Lord. Everyday you walk down the path of your life. As you live your life, you make choices, or avoid them, that will determine the course of your future.
We do not suddenly become the man or woman we aspire to be. We must make the little choices along the way that shape us into the person God would have us to be.
At First Baptist, we want to help you discover how to get the most out of life. How to understand God, live for Him, be a better parent or spouse, live with purpose, speak of Him to others, and more. These classes are not the answer, God is. But they will help you to step toward Him, with Him and to walk, to walk daily with the King.
Will you take the first step . . .

A Study of the Book of Matthew
Our Journey through the gospel of Matthew is the study of the King and His Kingdom. We go in-depth, verse by verse through the gospel, but this study does not require any previous Biblical knowledge. Each week our pastor, Ben Macklin, gives study notes and commentary on the verses we study.
Max Lucado’s 3:16 - The Numbers of Hope
A twenty-six-word parade of hope: beginning with God, ending with life, and urging us to do the same. Brief enough to write on a napkin or memorize in a moment, yet solid enough to weather two thousand years of storms and questions.
Beth Moore’s Esther - It’s Tough Being A Woman
Join this in-depth examination of a great story of threat and deliverance. If you've ever felt inadequate, threatened, or pushed into situations that seemed overpowering, this is the study for you. Just as it was tough being a woman in Esther's day, it's tough today. Esther contains treasures to aid us in our hurried and pressured lives. This study has already started.
Have a New Kid by Friday
Dr. Kevin Leman urges you to take his 5-day challenge to implement a new parenting strategy. Based on cause and effect instead of threats or fears, you'll soon be seeing lots of improvement in your child's behavior and experience a closer bond as well. Let the fun begin!
5 Conversations You Must Have With Your Daughter
Youth culture expert Vicki Courtney gives moms straight talk about keeping the lines of communication open and honest with their daughters from cradle to college. Vicki helps parents pinpoint and prepare the discussions that need to be ongoing so that girls will know the truth about life before they believe the culture's lies.
Fireproof Your Marriage
For those married and engaged. This study will challenge you to love better, to love first, and to love for a lifetime! Founded on biblical principles, this couples study is a great way for you and your spouse to build and strengthen your marriage. It integrates movie clips from Fireproof, along with key Scriptures, thought-provoking questions and devotionals.
